본문 : 시편 128:1-6

하나님은 복의 근원이시고 우리에게 복 주시기를 기뻐하십니다. 그리고 우리 모두는 복 받기를 소원하고 있습니다. 하나님을 믿는 사람이 하나님으로부터 오는 복을 기다리는 것은 자연스런 현상입니다.

1. 누가 복이 있나
솔로몬은 잠언에서 여호와를 경외하는 것이 지혜의 근본이요 여호와를 경외하는 것이 지식의 근본이라고 했습니다. 그러므로 하나님의 지식과 지혜를 가진 사람은 복 있는 사람입니다.
복 있는 사람은 하나님의 길을 걷는 자입니다. 본시에서 시인은 하나님을 경외하는 자와 하나님의 길을 걷는 자를 동일시하고 있습니다. 구약에서 에녹은 하나님과 동행한 자라 했고, 신약에서는 하나님을 기쁘시게 한 자라고 했습니다.
하나님을 기쁘시게 한 자가 헬라적 표현이라면 하나님과 동행한 자는 히브리적 표현입니다. 즉 하나님의 길을 걷는 자가 복이 있다는 것입니다.

2. 무슨 복이 있나
하나님을 경외하고 그의 길을 걷는 사람에게는 개인적인 형통이 있습니다. 다시 말해서 우리 사역에 복을 주신다는 것입니다. 수고할 일감을 주시고, 수고할 수 있는 건강을 주시며 수고에 상응하는 대가를 주십니다.
또 주님을 경외하는 자에게는 가정에 행복을 주십니다. 결실한 포도나무 같은 아내와 식탁에 둘러앉은 어린 감람나무 같은 자식들을 주십니다. 이 같은 하나님의 복은 하나님을 만나고 그를 경외하고 순종할 때 생기는 것입니다.
뿐만 아니라 하나님을 경외하는 사회는 개인과 가정뿐 아니라 교회와 국가도 복을 누리게 됩니다. 개인과 가정의 행복과 축복은 시온과 예루살렘의 복과 연결되어 있습니다. 그러므로 우리는 교회와 사회에 대해서도 관심을 가져야 합니다. 교회가 부흥하고 사회가 발전하면 개인도 가정도 부흥하고 발전하게 됩니다.

3. 미래의 복
하나님을 경외하고 그의 길을 걷는 자마다 개인과 가정과 교회와 사회의 발전과 복을 받게 된다고 했는데 거기에 시인은 미래에 대해서도 생각의 폭을 넓히고 있습니다. 개인과 가정과 교회와 사회를 넘어 이스라엘의 평강을 바라보는 것입니다. 다시 말해서 시인은 하나님 나라의 평강을 기원합니다.

사랑하는 성도 여러분,
하나님을 경외하고 그의 길을 가면서 신행일치의 삶을 살므로 개인적 형통의 복과 가정의 복과 교회와 사회의 복과 미래에 도래 할 하나님 나라의 평강의 복을 받고 누리시는 저와 여러분이 되시기를 주님의 이름으로 간절히 소원합니다.


God's Blessings
(Psalm 128:1-6)

God is the fount of every blessing and enjoys giving us blessings. All of us hope to receive blessings from Him. It is natural for those who believe in God to expect blessings from Him.

1. Who is blessed
King Solomon said in Proverbs, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge." Therefore, blessed are those who have God's wisdom and knowledge!
Blessed are those who walk in His ways. The psalmist in this psalm regards those who fear the Lord in the same light as those who walk in His ways. Enoch was a man who accompanied God in the Old Testament, and who pleased Him in the New Testament. If we say that the man who pleases God is a Greek expression, the man who accompanies God is a Hebrew expression. Therefore, blessed is the man who walks in His way.

2. What blessing there is
Everything goes favorably for those who fear God and walk in His ways personally. In other words, this is how God blesses us in our Christian work. He gives us tasks that are worth the effort, health to keep on going, and a reward that is equivalent to the task.
God also gives family happiness to the man who fears Him. He gives the man a wife like a fruitful vine and sons like olive shoots around the table. In this way, God's blessings become manifest when we meet, fear, and obey God.
Moreover, if a society fears God, not only the individual and the family but the church and the nation will live under His blessings. The happiness and blessing of the individual and the family are connected with the blessings of Zion and Jerusalem. Therefore, we must have a growing interest in the church and society. If the church undergoes revival and society develops, the individual and the family will also be revived and develop well.

3. Blessings in the future
While the psalmist is saying, "Everyone who fears God and walks in His ways will develop and receive a blessing from God as an individual and family, as well as the church and the society," he also concerns himself broadly with the future. He looks out beyond the peace of Israel in the individual and family, as well as in the church and society. That is to say, he prays towards the peace of God in heaven.

My beloved Christians!
While you fear God and walk in his ways, you must live with the consistency of faith and action. I sincerely pray that you and I will enjoy the blessings of peace in the future as we receive the blessings of the individual and family, and the blessings of the church and society in the name of Jesus Christ.
