인생역전이라는 말이 있습니다.시편 126편은 인생역전의 모티브를 가장 드라마틱하게 묘사한 시 중 하나입니다.

1.귀환민의 기쁨과 감사
당대 최강국인 바벨론에 끌려간 이스라엘이 자력으로 귀환 한다는 것은 상상도 할 수 없는 일이었습니다. 이스라엘의 귀환은 파사의 은덕이 결코 아닙니다. 그 일은 분명 역사의 주재자이신 하나님께서 행하신 대사(大事)인 것입니다. 이것은 이스라엘이 갑자기 의로워졌기 때문이 아니고 아브라함에게 약속하신 바를 성취시키시는 하나님의 성실하심과 이스라엘을 향하신 하나님의 긍휼하심 때문이었습니다. 그래서 그들은 꿈꾸는 것 같았다고 했습니다(1절).

2.귀환민의 책임
바벨론 포로에서 예루살렘으로 돌아온 이스라엘 백성들은 꿈꾸는 것처럼 기뻐했지만, 그들의 기쁨은 곧 벽에 부딪치고 고통으로 인해 사라져 버렸습니다. 그들은 무너진 성, 불탄 성전을 재건해야 했고, 대내외적으로 방해하는 원수로 괴로워해야 했습니다. 감격과 환희의 노래가 슬픔과 고통으로 바뀐 것입니다.
그러나 성도는 항상 잃어버린 구원의 기쁨을 회복하기 위해, 또 영적 승리의 기쁨을 유지하기 위해 노력해야 합니다. 그렇게 하기 위해서 성도는 서로 교통하는 기쁨을 누리고, 하나님을 위한 새로운 일에 도전하며 거기에서 기쁨을 키워나가야 합니다.

3.귀환민의 또 다른 기도
바벨론에 있었을 때 본토 귀환을 위한 기도를 하던 사람들은 돌아온 후 아직 돌아오지 못한 이들의 귀환과 돌아온 이들의 역전인생을 기도했습니다. 이미 돌아온 자들은 더욱 온전히 회복되어야 했기 때문에 삶의 모든 영역에서 운명의 역전을 구하는 기도를 한 것입니다.

4.귀환민의 각오
본토에 돌아온 백성들은 오히려 포로시절보다 더 복잡한 문제에 직면했습니다. 성급한 기대도 금물이지만 경솔한 절망이나 미래에 대한 두려움은 더욱 피해야 할 것입니다.
귀환민들은 눈물을 흘리며 씨를 뿌리며 기쁨으로 추수할 날을 기대한다고 했습니다(5절). 씨뿌림이 없이는 결실이 있을 수 없기 때문에 그들의 기쁨은 전날의 고통 때문에 더욱 커질 것입니다. 시인은 씨 뿌리는 때와 추수 때를 대조하면서 운명의 역전을 다시 한 번 노래합니다.

사랑하는 성도 여러분,
감사는 하나님의 구원에 기인해야 하고, 영광은 책임으로 연결되어야 하며, 웃기 위해서는 먼저 울어야 한다는 진리를 기억하면서 견고하며 흔들리지 말고 주의 일에 더욱 힘쓰는 하나님의 백성들이 되시기를 주님의 이름으로 간절히 소원합니다.


Grace Like a Dream
(Psalm 126:1-6)

There is a saying, 'a reversal of fortune.' This is one of those psalms which dramatically describes the motive behind a reversal of fortune.

1. The joy and thankfulness of a restored people
No one could have imagined that the Israelites, who were captured by the strongest nation in the world at that time, Babylon, would have returned to Israel on their own. They did not return because of Persia (the nation after Babylon), but because God, who supervises history, undertook this greatest of tasks. It was not because Israel had suddenly become righteous, but because God, who is trustworthy and righteous, fulfilled His promise to Abraham and turned back to Israel. Therefore, the people said, "We were like men who dreamed (v.1)."

2. The responsibility of a restored people
Although the Israelites returned from their Babylonian captivity like men in a dream, they were immediately confronted with suffering and stripped of their joy. Upon their return, they had to rebuild the city wall that had been burnt down. They suffered as their enemies continually interrupted their work from within as well as outside their country. This song of joy and thanksgiving had been changed into sorrow and suffering. However, Christians must recover the joy of their salvation and retain the joy of their spiritual victory. To do this, you must share your joy with others, communicate with one other, and challenge each other with new things for God. There, you will be restored in your joy.

3. Another prayer of a restored people
After they had prayed to return while in Babylon, the people continued to pray for those who had not yet returned for their 'reversal of fortune.' They prayed for this 'reversal of fortune' in every area of life, because they wanted to recover completely.

4. The determination of a restored people
The people who had returned to their country were confronted with a rather complicated problem, more than they had faced during their time in captivity. They needed to put away their expectations for a hasty recovery and avoid the imprudent despair and fear about the future. They said, "Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy" (v. 5). Because they knew that a future reaping could not come without sowing, they were comforted by the fact that their future would become increasingly joyful than the previous painful day. As the psalmist compares the pain of sowing with the joy of reaping, he sings again about the 'reversal of fortune'.

By recognizing the truth that thanksgiving depends on God's salvation and glory is connected to responsibility, we will weep on the road to laughter. You must be strong and unshakeable as you endeavor to work for the Lord. I sincerely pray that all of you will become God's people in the name of Jesus Christ.
